Aruba is an Island which is situated at 18 miles off the coast of Venezuela in the Southern Caribbean. The Historical museum of the Aruba is established by the Cultureel van Aruba that means the Cultural Center Aruba Foundation.
The Aruban Cultural Heritage is documented and preserved by the Archaeological, Historical Museums and Numismatic Museums. The Historical Museum of Aruba is established in the Fort Zoutman which was originally built in 1798. Here you will get an idea about the island’s first settler’s lives and how they work with numerous antique farm implements and household goods.
The Aruba Archaeological Museum preserves the archaeological artifacts and sites of Aruba and gives information about the Amerindian cultural heritage of the Aruba.
Numismatic Museum provides information about the first coins, including the “yotin” and “dipchi” along with the monetary tender around the world and it also features rotating art galleries. The Numismatic Museum is established in the historically important yellow house found behind the Oranjestad bus terminal and next to The Royal Plaza Mall. |
